No thoughts, just pottery vibes

I joined a pottery studio! I get ten hours a month to play with clay and glazes and generally just have an excuse to get my hands dirty. This is the same studio that I took a couple of classes at over the summer and I’m really happy to be back there just messing around.

I’ve taken more than a few pottery classes, but they’ve usually been 6- or 8-week courses, and while I really enjoy them, I do it so infrequently that I have to re-learn any skills that I develop every time. And truly, I don’t even develop too many skills! But I have fun making little lopsided things anyway.

My first finished piece! A wonky little shelf for my favorite treasures and/or dog pictures.

It’s been really fun this month to just have a place to go and get to do something a little different. I don’t really have a plan for what I’m going to make yet, but I have a few ideas swirling around in my head and I’m excited to see where it goes!

These aren’t from my membership studio, but a couple of months ago, Jonathan and I took a(nother) handbuilding class and make these two pitchers! I love them too much to not include them in this post.
