From mountains to mermaids

Working on some Washington State illustrations (and a mermaid tail…) for a project and having the most fun with them. I broke out the gouache rather than watercolors to keep these bright and opaque while adding as many details as possible. The little orca and fish are my favorites!

Each of these are only a couple of inches big in real life which means I also get to use up all kinds of scrap papers for them, making this project even more satisfying.
