Pinhole camera fun!
I have a Solarcan puck camera that allows me to play around with pinhole photography while also being very seit-it-and-forget-it. It’s set up to expose photographic paper, which produces a negative that you then can scan, invert, and flip to create the positive image. Last year, on the fall equinox, I set it up to take a southern-facing exposure from our front porch. I fully intended to remove it on the spring equinox, but it was a little too set-it-and-forget-it because I did indeed forget and it got an extra day.
Fall Equinox to Spring Equinox (plus one day because I forgot…)
I took the camera down, scanned the paper, and immediately reloaded the camera and put it right back up for another six months which brings us to today!
Spring Equinox (-ish) to Fall Equinox
I think it’s so cool to see the difference in the sun’s path (and I also love that one tree that shows up in the middle of both photos). I’m getting back into photography (again) in general right now, so the fact that I set this up six months ago ended up being nice and timely!
Now to figure out the next place to put this up for a few months!
