Natural Dye Plants

I do a lot of work for Botanical Colors, a natural dye studio and supplier, both as a dyer and a designer. One of my favorite projects has been this ongoing series of illustrations of natural dye plants (and insects! and mushrooms!), which are printed on postcards included with online orders. The background color of the illustrations references a color that the dye can create and the backs of the postcard include brief historical information and recipes for the featured dyestuffs.
