30/100: A few plants, a lot of messes

Ten more days in on the #100daysproject, ten more even wonkier little watercolors! I really love how some of these ones turned out, but taking photographs of them all just now made me realize just how many water and paint splashes are on every one!

Homegrown flowers, something I’ve really appreciated this winter!

I’ve been listening to a lot of Orville Peck, so I painted one of his masks. I really love this painting, especially with the gold!

This is the day that Perseverance landed on Mars! I love that JPL included a secret message in the parachute design and that the internet cracked the code in just a few hours.

I’m rewatching Twin Peaks and considering making some Twin Peaks-inspired tarot art based entirely on this patch which barely has any screen time in the show!

I read an article about horseshoe crabs on this day and apparently it was on my mind when I sat down to paint afterwards.

When we moved to our house, I got really into birdwatching because there were so many different birds around the neighborhood. I’m looking forward to seeing them again this spring!

Another plant painting - I’m considering a few different styles for a work project and these paintings have been a great way to work through some options.

Listening to a lot of Neil Young’s Harvest Moon!

I love the look of this knot painting, but it definitely feels very overworked for a watercolor painting. I think this is something I want to revisit and try to keep it a bit looser next time.
