Holiday plans, kind of…

I bought myself Frances Palmer’s book, Life in the Studio, after a friend recommended it to me. I devoured the book as soon as it arrived. It’s such a beautiful, inspiring work and I’m so happy I bought it.

Now that I have it, all I want to do is constantly re-read it, recommend it to all of my other friends, and draw pictures of flowers and pottery based on the gorgeous photos. And with Christmas coming up at the end of the week and no real holiday plans to speak of, I’m probably going to spend a day or two doing all three of those things!

I’ve already gotten a head start on the drawing part today. I have some Tombow pens that I really enjoy using, but have been playing more and more with mixing them with other media, which is especially fun to do with this subject matter.
